What is money to you?

What comes to your mind when you have a lotta money? How does money affects your thought and vision? What is money to you?
Try to answer that question first… then this one.

What if so in a sudden it (all of money you have) was gone and you were having a very surprising circumstances of being poverty? What will you do?

Recently I join forex trading. I just really realized that money can thrive and multiply quickly and in the other hand vanish in a matter of minutes. One time I can feel so happy because suddenly I got quite a lot of money in just an hour. Then one time I can feel desperately stressed out because what I expected wasn’t happened that time and it caused a deprivation, and confused whether I should cut it loss immediately to limit losses or wait until it reverse it’s direction as I expected but it’s kinda gambling (is it really going to turn around or even getting bigger loss).

Then what is all about….. Well, does money become your priority in your life? Because if it is, then you know that it can be gone in a matter of time, in a minute, or an hour that you may not expect. Yes we need money for living, but don’t make it as your first priority, your ambition, and the only thing you pursue. Because once it’s gone, you don’t know what you gonna do next.

Money isn’t an eternal thing. When you buy a good car that you want so much with your money then you will have such an euphoria for just a moment then you will get used to it. When you buy a branded goods, people will think that you’re a rich people but when your money fades away and you cant afford your branded goods then people won’t praise you anymore. When you buy an expensively delicious food, then it will end in a closet too.
All these things are some things you can’t hold on, because you will just enjoy it for a while, then….? And when you suddenly can’t enjoy it, then….?

Hold on to the things that are eternal. Have a vision and do something that will not last and vanish just like money does. Because there’re so many thing that money can’t buy, so many things that bring you a truly happiness that money can’t afford.

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.
Matthew 6:19-21,24

A meaningful life : A life in God’s desire

How if you die today?
Are you satisfied by what you have done? Or otherwise, too many regrets?
Does your life worthy to others?  Or simply, is it worth even to yourself?

Psalm 90
The Bible said, we will turn back into dust (90:3) , means we will return to the place we belong. We were made from the dust, how fragile and worthless!  Be aware that we are nothing, not a single thing should we boast about.. We were made by God, every talent and blessing were gift from Above. Time, space, knowledge, freedom, all from God. Therefore, we should give our life back to who gave it, to glorify His name. The one who is wise, honor his life to represent God’s kindness and mercy.

A thousand years in Your sight are like yesterday when it passes by (90:4). No matter how long we feel our life is, it’s too short upon God’s eyes. Then how should we use this very short time effectively? If we just do such a mechanic things like sleeping, eating, working, hangout, then we eat again, we sleep again, we work for money again, you will get bored and confuse about life you’re living. Is that a life you think is worthy?

You have swept them away like a flood, they fall asleep, in the morning they are like grass which sprouts anew. In the morning if flourishes and sprouts anew, toward evening it fades and withers away  (90:5,6). Our life is like a water that is washed, after washed away then nothing….
We sleep, we dream, is your dream a reality? It isn’t!! But the eternal hope is a reality.  We are like the grass, flowers. It can grow and flourishes, but in the same day it can dry, withered.  Our life is so fragile, after we die, if we don’t do something remarkable then it just vanished, useless. Only those who do the will of God will have an eternal life.

Let us dedicate our life to God, not to sin and do something worthless. Make your days count as a blessing to others, and represent mercy and love of God.

5 Points of Calvinsm

This book really change my thought about Christian since i read it approximately about 4 years ago. I was astonished after i know the truth. I was in a charismatic church for maybe 10 years and i knew nothing about Christ, about Christian, about doctrine, it was too superficial. And who says doctrine is not important is the one who doesnt want to know about God, because knowing doctrine is like learning to know and understand God deeper. Do you really want to know Him?? From this book i realized so many things. Let me share a little :)

It tells about TULIP.
T is for total depravity. Human is so depravated, we even dont have an abilty to do good things. We dont have any desire, we cant understand what goodness is, it is our nature to do sin. Yes we are. If we think we are good enough, then we dont need God. Even we didnt steal, or kill someone, doesnt mean that we are good enough. No one is good, the one who is good is Good only. (Rome 3, 2 Cor 3:12-18)

U is for unconditional election. It means that God choose people to be loved for unconditional reason. He doenst have any reason to love a sinful human like us, but He does... and He didnt ask for any requirement. Once we are choosen then forever we are saved. Its not because of our good deeds, but only by His unconditional love.
Some people says that we can lost our salvation. Other say we are all given a ticket to Heaven, but in our way to exchange that ticket, some didnt do because of free will not to accept that ticket, some exchange that ticket, then the one who didnt isnt saved. By that story, we can see that its like God has no power upon us and it doesnt make any sense. God is a powerful God, and He is consistent. Once choosen, then forever we're with Him, and human has no power against His power.
Who are we to receive His great election and forgiveness? Its because His love for us, His grace for us... (John 6:37, John 15:16, Acts 13;48, Ephesians 1:4-5, Eph 2:8)

L is for limited atonement. God love the world, but its not every people in the world. Do you get shocked by now?? i did. Because i thought He chooses everyone of us. Unfortunately no. (John 6:37-40,  John 10:15, eph 5:25, Rm 9:13) its called predestination. From the beginning He choose some people... He choose Jacob and not Esau. He doesnt choose everyone. Maybe now, you are asking about God's justice. If God is a fair God, then none of us would be saved, because we are not worth it. We cant ask for God's justice, His soverignty  far above us, beyond our thoughts...

Irresistable grace. Those who obtain grace is not by their free will but by the sovereign grace of God.  Calvin said "it is not violent, so as to compel men by external force; but still it is a powerful impulse of the Holy Spirit, which makes men willing who formerly were unwilling and reluctant." (John 6:37,44, Rm 8:29-30,

Perseverence of The Saint may be defined as that continuous operation of the Holy Spirit in the believer, by which the work of divine grace that is begun in the heart is continued and brought to competition. It is because God never forsakes His work that believers continue to stand to the very end. They whom God hath accepted in His Beloved, effectually called and sanctified by His Spirit, can neither totally nor finally fall away from the state of grace, but shall certainly persevere therein to the end, and be eternally saved.
Many who profess to believe fall away, but they do not fall from grace for they were never in grace. True believers do fall into temptations, and they do commit grievous sins, but these sins do not cause them to lose their salvation or separate them from Christ.  (John 6:37,39, 44, 63-63)

I really suggest you to read this book about Calvinism, or you can read inwww.monergism.com

It is really great to know more about the truth by what He truly said in the Bible. :)
